Sometimes brands seem oddly chosen. A recent case is that of Renault, that are selling the Renault Kwid in Brazil. Nothing to worry about, right? Wrong!
The car was somewhat of a success. So Renault decided to launch a few special editions of the Kwid: the “Zen”, the “Intens” and the “Life”.
However, no-one at the marketing or legal department of the French car manufacturer seemed to notice the negative connotation of the special edition “Renault Kwid Life”.
Unfortunately enough, the car also received only a 1-star rating in crash tests, and was therefore not considered to be very safe.
Ah well, at least the brand fits the product: “Do you want to quit life?” Buy a Renault Kwid Life!”
