Mattel will not be very pleased with this sort of art. But can they oppose this sort of use, for example based on copyrights or design rights?
This is of course an interesting question. As the overall impression of the jewelry is rather different compared with the Barbie, we feel that objecting the jewelry might be difficult. The photographs on the other hand show a whole Barbie in a shocking context. One can say that these photo’s are somewhat detriment to the image of Barbie.
