Artist Nicki Minaj’s steps into the fashion business, which aren’t going too well. She is being sued for copyright infringement.
Fellow artist Isiah Simon filed a lawsuit against Minaj and her record label Universal Music Group over some t-shirt designs on their merchandising website. Simon claims he designed the heart shape boob and has the copyright. He used the art to display “I Love Venice Beach.”
In his lawsuit the states that Minaj and UMG “brazingly” copied his design in order to make profits. He not only wants the company to stop selling the merchandise, but also wants a judge to award him all the profits that they already made from selling the T-Shirts that says “I Love Nicki.”
