Stinky trademarks

Paris…. ah, the city of love. But also the first name of the Hilton socialite and a name of a perfume of International Perfume Palace Inc. And this is where the case stinks.

Paris Hilton and her Parlux Fragrances LLC are suing International Perfume Palace Inc. for trademark infringement. Allegedly, International Perfume Palace’s perfume and body wash package called “Paris Paris” is causing confusing, because of its similar appearance and name. Hilton claims infringement on her trademark, trade dress and design patent.

These ‘fragrance’ infringements are not uncommon. Earlier Marc Jacobs sued Justin Bieber over a similar design of a perfume bottle.
